Aloe Activity

Above is the link to my Youtube video detailing the process of creating aloe gel. I purchased an Aloe vera plant from Home Depot, cut the leaves into smaller pieces, extracted the pulp, blended it using a hand blender, strained it, and ended up with my own small amount of aloe gel.
The process was overall a bit messy, simply because I ended up accidentally spilling soil from the pot all over my kitchen counter. I definitely struggled getting the pulp out from the leaves because the leaves of my plant were fairly small, especially relative to those in the demonstration video. I ended up with a small amount of pulp and if replicating the experiment, would surely purchase a larger plant.
The aloe left my hands feeling smooth and refreshed, although I admit I thought it had a gross consistency and texture while I was working with it.
I am excited to have a method to make aloe gel, however, as I drink aloe juice fairly regularly due to its health benefits.
